About this event
As the dark grey monsoon clouds assemble over the horizon, angry thunders roar in the distance and the pitter-patter of rains start, we the Punashcha School of Rabindra Sangeet, gather in London, to joyously celebrate the many moods of the rainy season through a specially curated musical and dance production that brings to life Tagore's take on the monsoon (Barsha) season. Enjoy an evening of musical extravaganza which will transport you to the red soil of Shantiniketan, where Tagore's soul truly belonged. Our students have been undergoing rigorous training for this performance under the tutelage of Mrs. Shyamali Basu. At Punashcha we encourage everyone, be it young children of three years to retired folks of seventy to carry on the tradition of music, dance, poetry, drama of our left behind homeland.
